Dr. Ali Al-Bimani was the 5th Vice Chancellor of the Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) between 2008 and 2020. He was the assistant to the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Postgraduate Studies and Research at SQU, then the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Community Services.

Mr Bildt served as Prime Minister of Sweden from 1991 to 1994. He was the leader of the Moderate Party from 1986 to 1999. Bildt served as Sweden’s Minister for Foreign Affairs from October 2006 to October 2014, and as Member of Parliament from 1979 to 2001. He was a mediator in the Yugoslav wars and co-chair of the Dayton Peace Conference in November 1995 and High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina from December 1995 to June 1997.

Mr. Larbi has over 35 years of professional experience in economic and social development. Most recently, he served as Advisor to the World Bank’s MENA Vice President and from January 2014 to February 2015 he served as both, the Minister of Economic Infrastructure and Sustainable Development and the Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister, Tunisia. An associate at the Belfer Center’s Middle East Initiative and former Kuwait Foundation Visiting Scholar (2015-2016).

Susana Malcorra was previously Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship for the Republic of Argentina back in 2015. After her resignation in July 2017, she served as Minister Advisor to the President until December 2017. As such, she presided over the 11th WTO Ministerial Conference held in Buenos Aires. She is currently a member of the External Advisors Group for the President of the General Assembly, Miroslav Lajčák. She is part of the executive councils of the Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center, the Atlantic Council, the Inter-American Dialogue and the Aspen Ministers’ Forum. Ms. Malcorra is a distinguished fellow for IE’s Transatlantic Relations Initiative in Madrid, and a member of the Democracy Cluster at EUI’s School of Transnational Governance in Florence. She has a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Rosario and 25 years of professional experience in the private sector (IBM and Telecom Argentina).

Idris Jala served as the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department and as the Chief Executive Officer of the Performance Management and Delivery Unit (Pemandu) from 2009 till 2015, the unit tasked with spearheading Malaysia’s transition towards high income status by 2020. He was also a Senator in the Dewan Negara from 2009 till 2015. At present, he is the President and Chairman of PEMANDU Associates, a global consultancy firm focused on public sector transformation and business turnaround.

He was the Assistant Undersecretary of the Civil Service Bureau for Administrative Development Affairs from January 1994 to 1999. He also served as the Chairman of the Main Group of the Triple Action Program of the Administrative Development Sector of the Civil Service Bureau 1992-1993.
