Biography
Dr. Paul Porteous has wide experience as a presidential adviser, senior diplomat, international lawyer, and academic spanning Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the United States, and China. He has been a representative to numerous international organizations including the United Nations and the International Court of Justice, as well as a visiting faculty member at Harvard Kennedy School and a research and teaching fellow at Harvard’s Center for Public Leadership, where he received the “Dean’s Award for Excellence in Student Teaching”.
Paul was senior adviser to the President of Madagascar for four years, developing cutting-edge leadership practices for nation-building and poverty alleviation. He has provided executive leadership training to government ministers and heads of departments worldwide and has coached hundreds of CEOs and senior executives in the government, NGO, and corporate sectors. Paul is an adjunct professor and director of the Centre for Social Leadership in Australia, providing innovative programs across government, business, and community sectors focused on local engagement, social impact, cross-cultural relations, and conflict management.
