Biography

Sudanese scholar, diplomat, and sinologist specializing in China–Middle East and North Africa (MENA) relations. Currently a research fellow at the China–Arab Research Center on Reform and Development at Shanghai International Studies University, he previously served as Sudan’s Ambassador to China  and was  seconded by the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the State of Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a strategic expert on Asian affairs. Prof. Ahmed holds a master’s from  the University of Khartoum and a PhD in Sino-Arab Relations from Nanjing University.
