Biography

Dr. Mohammed Hosam Hafez holds a PhD in International Law and International Relations, a Master's degree in International Human Rights Law, a diploma in Criminal Law, a diploma in Public Law, and a Bachelor's degree in Law.Professionally, he worked as a lawyer in Damascus starting in 1993 before joining the Syrian diplomatic service, where he worked primarily in international legal affairs and held the title of Diplomatic Counsel.He returned to legal academia and practice in Qatar in 2012. He teaches law at Qatar University and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, in addition to providing legal consultancy, arbitration, and training services.Dr. Hafez has participated in numerous conferences, seminars, and academic legal and political programs. He has published peer-reviewed articles and several books in the fields of international law, international relations, and politics.
