Biography

‎Stephen Wright is Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU). He is also a research associate at the HBKU Global Institute for Strategic Research. Dr. Wright's research expertise extends to international relations and political economy in the Gulf region, as well as energy geopolitics at the global level. He has published extensively in these fields and his works have been translated into several languages. Dr. Wright has been a keynote speaker at events organized by organizations such as the World Bank and NATO. He has worked as a consultant and in advisory roles with various governments and multinational corporations. His views on world affairs have been featured in leading international media outlets, including Bloomberg, CGTN, The Economist, Financial Times, Al Jazeera, Reuters, and The Wall Street Journal.‎
